Hour 1: Little 'Ny woke up with a 102.8 degree fever. I gave her some Tylenol and she slept the rest of the night in our bed.
Hour 9: Little 'Ny woke up with a voice sounding like a frog and a phlegmy cough.
Hour 14: Little 'Ny took a 30 min nap in her crib then spends another 1 hour napping on my chest.
Hour 23: Little 'Ny woke up with a 101.7 degree fever. I gave her some Night Time Triaminic to help her sleep.
Hour 24: Little 'Ny woke up and barfed up the Triaminic.
Hour 26: Little 'Ny woke up with a 103.8 degree fever. I gave her some Tylenol and she slept the rest of the night in our bed.
Hour 31: I call Little 'Ny's pediatrician, but she is on vacation this week so they have the pediatric nurse call me back. She tells me Little 'Ny probably has the flu and that I need to wait 72 hours to see if her fever would come down without the help of antibiotics. If her fever does not break and her symptoms get worse I am to call them back to make an appointment for her to be seen.
Hour 40: Little 'Ny barfs up her dinner and her fever goes up to 102.3.
Hour 50: Little 'Ny wakes up for the only time in the night from coughing, but falls back to sleep minutes later.
Hour 53: Little 'Ny wakes up with a 100.9 degree fever and her cough was getting worse.
Hour 74: Little 'Ny wakes up after a full night of sleep sprinkled with coughing fits, but she still has a 101.8 degree fever.
Hour 76: I was able to squeeze in an appointment with a "stand-in" pediatrician. After a check up and chest x-rays Little 'Ny is diagnosed with pneumonia in her right lung and put on antibiotics.
Good thing they didn't make us wait any longer.
