last night away ... and ready to go home

our last day in Chicago was spent trying to stay warm while doing some sight touring around. First on our list was Macy's to do some shopping. That place is what I call a mall! It is floors of beautiful clothes and incredible goods. Chris had to drag me out of there.

The hightlight of the day was the Christkindlemarket. This an outdoor German America holiday market. There are incredible authentic German goods, German food and of course German beer and spiced wine. Hubs -- being from German heritage -- was in his element.

An ice storm is coming through tonight, so the weather was not ideal to visit the top of the Sears Towers. But, we got to see the outside!

Of course we couldn't leave Chicago without shopping on the Magnificent Mile. We made a trip to The Disney Store to buy Little 'Ny some stocking stuffers. Then we went into Tiffany's so I could ogle at the diamonds. To finish off the night we had dinner at Ditka's and I got dessert at the Hersey's store (yummmmmm....).

Overall, it was a really nice day in the Windy City. Let's hope this ice storm that is supposed to hit tonight will not prevent us from getting back to SD tomorrow. I am missing my baby girl ...
