Breakfast consists continental style ... muffins, quiches, croissants, cereals. No fruit. No oatmeal. The healthiest thing to eat is yogurt. Lunch is not much better ... carbs, carbs and more carbs. Dinner at least has vegetables and salad, but those calories are quickly replaced by all of the butter they cook the food in and the flowing wine and beer.

We sit all day listening to people talk about the future of our product and company, how to negotiate and the best of the web as our butts mold and flatten to the seats we are perched on. The only exercise we got is the walking to and from the conference center (and the hours of dancing at the very end of the long day).
I thought for sure when I weighed myself today I would have packed on more pounds. So, you can imagine the shock on my face when I saw that I had lost 3 lbs! I guess all of that dancing paid off! I also haven't had a cup of coffee from the moment I got off the plane in South Carolina until Thursday morning when sleep deprivation got the best of me. I didn't snack in between meals simply because I didn't have time.
So, maybe conferences are a good place to be on a diet ... only if you aren't afraid to dance like a fool in front of your co-workers!
