When I was growing up my parents and I always spent Thanksgiving in Lake Arrowhead with my parents' best friends and their daughters. The days were spent ice skating, fishing, going on walks, shopping, reading books by the fire, doing puzzles, and eating. As us kids grew older the tradition came to an end. We had other families to spend Thanksgiving with. We moved farther away. We had our own kids.
I really miss that tradition, but I am incredibly thankful for those memories!
There is so much I am thankful for ... my daughter, my family, my boyfriend, my friends, my health, my job.
And, let's not forget my mom's cooking!
