- Attend yoga an average of 2 days a week, but my goal is 3 days a week.
- Lose 14 lbs. (plus the 7 I gained over the holidays)
- Eat something green twice a day.
- Replace my non-fat caramel latte with Earl Grey Green Tea and Yogi Tea Detox.
- Lights out, computer and TV turned off by midnight every night.
My parents always stock me up with salad stuff, apples and bananas since they get everything at CostCo and it is too much for them to consume before the stuff goes bad. My mom participates in Weight Watchers and she gave me some of their chocolate snack bars. Yesterday I purged all of the Christmas chocolates and cookies from my house. I cleaned out my cabinets, fridge and freezer of everything that has gone bad. Then I made a trip to the grocery store for food for home and the office:
- Revolution Green Earl Grey Tea
- honey
- instant low sugar oatmeal (maple & brown sugar)
- raisins
- Lean Cuisine meals (for my office lunches)
- Yo Plus Blackberry Pomegranate
- frozen broccoli florets
- vegetable lasagna
- Bertolli Chicken Parmigiana & Penne (Princess D's favorite)
- large jugs of water
- Minute Made Enhanced Juice Pomegranate Blueberry
I have not had non-fat caramel latte in 4 days ... that alone is something to be proud of! And, this week I am back at the office so I can go to yoga class. Overall, I think I am off to a good start!
Congratulations on getting off to such a great start!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was being good over the holidays and I still gained weight :( I blame it on the alcohol, which I'm limiting moving forward.
Woo hoo! You are awesome, Nicole! Thanks for introducing me to the challenge and I look forward to meeting all our resolutions together! Cheers!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I've been on weight watchers for about six weeks and I've dropped nearly six pounds. I do the meetings and the online tracking system and it's worked out great!
ReplyDeleteI've switched to nonfat vanilla or peppermint lattes (they're only 2 points on WW and count as a milk serving) a couple of times a week.
Best of luck and keep us posted!
Woo! Off to a great start indeed - I'm impressed with your determination, and I hope you meet all your resolutions :) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have a terrible time with making food for me. I always eat what I make the kids.. and that is typically not that great of food since my oldest is super picky and likes the greasy staples of chicken and mac and cheese.
ReplyDeleteI need to make an outline ..like you.. I am in this challenge too.. just need to REALLY focus.. thanks for the inspiration!!
What is the Yogi Tea Detox?
ReplyDeleteI love nothing more then a good cup of tea and have never heard of that.
I hope you don't hate me for telling you this, but that bertolli stuff you picked up? It's packed with not so healthy yumminess (and it's my favorite too)...so, just fyi :)
ReplyDeleteIf you guys have access to Wolfgang Puck's frozen stuff...it's YUMMY and healthy - unfortunately they don't carry it around here anymore...I'd have to drive 2 hours to get it. So, right.
Ps- I forgot to say... YOURE doin' great! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGawd ... I know ... all of the preservatives! I need to check to see if we have Wolfgang Puck. Does he make a chicken parmigiana?
ReplyDeleteGirl! You are rockin' this!! Putting me to shame, thats for sure!
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the way you look the way you are. Admittedly - the picture I saw of you was at least 7 pounds ago - but - goodness woman, you are .... good looking. (I was going to say HAWT - but I didn't want to get all pervy and stuff). Take it easy on yourself.
