ready ... swim!

Last October we started Little 'Ny in swim lessons. The first lesson went well, but once she was dunked under the water the next few lessons were nothing but sobbing and begging me to take her out of the pool. By lesson five she was finally getting used to going under the water and was showing progress. But, then winter came and her swim school closed down while their new indoor facility was being built.

Little 'Ny started up with swim lessons again a few weeks ago. As expected lesson 1 was ok. She remembered going under the water, but was nervous about it. Lessons 2 and 3 were all tears. But, that weekend we hung out at my in law's pool and Little 'Ny had a break through. It is like she said to herself "okay, if I am going to enjoy my summer in the pool I better get used to it." Since that day she has been like a little mermaid. Lessons have never been better!
