hard work deserves a reward

The past few weeks I have done some serious work on my personal life. Purging old clothes, shoes, books, magazines, stuff from my closet and storage unit. Cleaning every nook and cranny of my house. Reorganizing what is left. Working on a new and improved budget and dealing with my debt head on.

Everything I have been putting off for three years has been done in three weeks. 7 large trash bags of clothes, 2 large boxes of shoes and 2 pieces of luggage all got dropped off at Goodwill which only took 10 minutes.

It has been exhausting and fulfilling at the same time. My life has less clutter. I am less stressed out. I am taking control of my world.

So, to reward myself I indulged in a guilty pleasure ... So You Think You Can Dance LIVE!

You read that right! A little over a month ago a friend of mine asked if I would be interested in going. I didn't even think twice about it ... OF COURSE I WANTED TO GO! I just never thought anyone would want to go with me!

The entire experience didn't disappoint. Hand made glitter covered signs that read things like "I love you, Twitch" or "Katee Rocks", homemade tie dyed shirts and screaming teenagers peppered the audience. And, of course the dancers were spectacular! My favorite performances were showcased (the one with the door, the one with the bed, the one with the assisted run, the Bleeding Heart one). And, Mary Murphy was in the audience!

Click here to see more of the videos I took at the show.

I am an even bigger fan of the show now! Next season my friend and I are going to try to make it to a taping with our own handmade glitter covered signs (sans tie dyed t-shirt). It is good to have a guilty pleasure ... and a clean house!
