It's very interesting that the Independence Days for the three countries that I've lived in (Argentina, US and Canada) are all within 9 days!
Canada Day: July 1st Independence Day: July 4th Argentina Day: July 9th
Another very interesting thing that we have in Argentina is the "Week of sweetness" which goes from July 1st to July 7th. What's it about? Simple: you give a candy or a chocolate to another person in exchange for a kiss (in the cheek!).
Would you imagine that in North America? :-)
Also, I don't think it's going to go well in Argentina this year, given that it's the third country most affected by the H1N1 virus...
And a Happy Fourth of July to you! Perfect images as I prepare to celebrate what was always my favorite holiday when I was younger. I LOVE the fireworks, food cooked on the grill, parades...and being together with family and friends. Enjoy your day!
LOVE the second shot. Perfectly divided.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of liberty! That is some huge flag! WOW incredible.
ReplyDeleteYou did do the patriotic thing. Those are both nice scenes of the USA.
