England 2011 - Day 2

Today we went to Warwick Castle, which dates back 1,100 years. It was built to protect the village of Warwick from Danish invaders. Now it is the perfect place for kids to experience what a Medieval castle was like.

Princess D and Knight Terror had the best time. In the Great Hall the kids got dressed up and listened to stories told by a princess. They both learned how to shoot a bow and arrow (D was not bad either). We climbed up a very steep spiral staircase to the top of the castle and got to see amazing views of Warwickshire and climbed back down while exploring the castle. We watched an eagle show and learned about the royal rat catcher.

After 6 hours of castle fun we were all knackered. I think we will all sleep good tonight!
